Woman sells husband on Craigslist
A Utah woman fed up with her video game-playing husband listed him for sale on Craigslist.
"Easy to maintain, just feed and water every 3-5 hours," read the ad on Craiglist's "Free Stuff" section. "He enjoys eating and playing video games all day."
Alyse Bradley posted the ad as a joke, offering her 22-year-old husband, Kyle Bradley, to the highest bidder after he became obsessed with the game "Modern Warfare," the Logan Herald reported.
A veteran who served in Afghanistan, Kyle Bradley told Salt Lake City TV station KTVX that gaming is one way that he stays connected to his military friends.
But after 48 straight hours of gaming, Kyle's wife was fed up.
"I didn't see him much at all," she told the Logan Herald. "So one day I told him: 'I am going to post you on Craigslist, you know.' My mother-in-law said: 'Do it!'"
Within hours, responses poured in.
Some were concerned about the couple's marriage, but others made some serious offers -- including a blue bag of Skittles.
Some men even offered their replacement services:
"I've had a couple personal ads for men saying, 'Oh I'm housebroke, I'm trained, I'll trade him places,'" Alyse Bradley told KTVX.
Kyle Baddley, who said he successfully finished "Modern Warfare" within a few days, was amused by his wife’s ad and noted that she encouraged his purchase of the game.
“I love my wife. She supported me when I got the game. We stayed until midnight to get the game when it first came out,” he said. “It’s just funny.”
